Cold Weather Ice-Oil Spill Response Training
Canadian National is pleased to extend an invitation to attend the Cold Weather Ice – Oil Spill Response Training in Traverse City, MI in conjunction with the 2023 No-Spills Conference!
We will be holding three, one day duration courses providing classroom and hands-on training from February 13-15, 2023.

Schedule/Location
Registration and coffee 7:00AM
Class will be held from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Monday, February 13th - Wednesday February 15th
Class location is 610 Woodmere Ave, Traverse City, MI 49684 (Traverse City District Area Library)

Course Details
- Students will be in the classroom for the morning reviewing response concepts, strategies and reviewing case studies.
- The afternoon session will be on the ice utilizing various hand tools and equipment. Warm clothing suitable for on ice conditions is a requirement along with a USCG approved PFD (Mustang suit, float coat, work vest etc).
- Training will focus on the unique tactical, safety, and recovery options that can occur with cold weather-related incidents. Participants will review and practice the safe and effective response to an oil release in sub-freezing conditions.
